Echocardiography

Echocardiography is an ultrasound examination of the heart.
The echocardiographic examination includes:               

  • Two-dimensional and M-mode examination.
  • Color-coded flow mapping.
  • Doppler study.

Our specialized cardiology team will examine adult and children with suspected heart disease.

a) Adult echocardiography covers:

  • Ischemic heart disease.
  • Valvular heart disease.
  • Myocardial heart disease.
  • Pericardial heart disease.

b) Pediatric echocardiography covers:

  • All cases of congenital heart disease
  • Foetal echocardiography can be done to assess the foetus before delivery starting from the 5th month of pregnancy to exclude any foetal cardiac congenital defect.
